What is Positive training?

Creating best friends

Let us explain positive training
The key elements to positive training
  • to use only positive reinforcement to teach and create change
  • to never use fear of punishment to change behaviour
  • to use an understanding of the dogs perspective and how they see the world

So how does it work?
Our training works like building blocks, we create a strong foundation ( the bond between you and your dog) built with structure, affection and love. This allows us to change your dogs behaviour by them wanting to please you and not through fear of punishment.

All of our training is delivered over a series of sessions which build on the previous session. We don't ask for payment in advance, you simply pay for what you receive.
The sessions are usually booked on a week to week basis leaving you time to build those blocks before we return.

Sadly we don't have a magic wand that will change your dogs behaviour overnight, you will however see changes as the training is implemented.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
All we ask from you is that you bring bucket loads of enthusiasm and you put your heart and sole into the training. For the training to be successful it needs to be a partnership between us, you and your dog.
Oh! and your favourite smile always helps!

OUR PROMISE:
Our promise to you is that we will never ask you to do anything to your dog that we wouldn’t do to our own dogs. We will never punish or scold your dog and we will only ever use positive methods of training. Our training will enable you to form strong, loving and lasting bonds with your dog.
